A2Z Cars ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you use our website or book a journey with us, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

What we collect

• Booking details: your name, email address, phone number, pickup and drop-off addresses, travel date and time, number of passengers and luggage, vehicle choice, flight number and any notes you give us.
• Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number and message when you use our contact form.
• Technical data: your IP address and basic browser information, used to keep our forms secure and prevent abuse.
• Accessibility information: if you tell us about mobility or access needs, we use this only to arrange a suitable vehicle and assistance.

How and why we use your data

• To provide our service (contract): to arrange, confirm and carry out your journey and contact you about it.
• To meet legal obligations: licensed private hire operators must keep records of bookings, which we may be required to share with the licensing authority or police.
• Legitimate interests: to answer enquiries, improve our service and protect our website from spam and fraud.
• Consent: to load optional third-party content such as Google Maps. You can withdraw consent at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer.

We do not sell your personal data or use it for marketing without your permission.

Who we share it with

We share your data only where necessary: with the driver assigned to your journey, with our IT, hosting and email providers who process data on our behalf, and with the licensing authority, police or other public bodies where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as required by our private hire operator licence conditions (normally at least 12 months) and then delete them securely, unless we need to keep them longer to deal with a complaint or legal claim. Contact form messages are deleted within 12 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email us at info@a-zcars.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Security

Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to booking records is restricted to authorised staff.
